The video below pretty much sums up why Davis needs to move to a big boy bed. Be sure to watch all the way to the end. It could have ended badly, but it didn't. Thank God.
Frankly, I had a small heart attack when I saw him fall. That's why the movie cuts off so fast. Clearly, the crib is now a hazard to Davis' life, so I'm on the hunt for a bed. Of course, that wasn't exactly in the budget this month. Or next. I was sort of planning to buy that around tax refund time. *sigh* Guess the new rug in my den will have to wait.
Oh, and one more thing? Please don't judge me for filming this. I had no idea he would catapult out of the bed.
I'm glad he is okay, but his look is priceless.
ReplyDeleteIkea sells a twin bed made of wood (must be against a wall since the headboard is wood around but no back to it--I know hard to explain--) for $40 and the slats are $20. My toddler sleeps with only twin mattress on top of the wood slats. Very low to the ground, perfect for a budget until you are ready to move them to something more sophisticated. Now you get your kid in a safe twin and your RUG!=) Merry Xmas.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Glad your boy is okay. I'm still laughing my butt off bc my daughter did the exact same thing this time last year...=)
ReplyDeleteThat is HYSTERICAL!!!!!!!!! oh my goodness. the look on his face is priceless. Lillian and Davis are exactly to the day the same age and Lills bed is coming today....I feel your pain. Dreading buying a new mattress and bedding in December!
ReplyDeleteHilarious! At least Davis mastered the landing, my boys usually end up in the E.R. with stitches!
